Kilcreggan, a truly Highland village, can be reached from Glasow in less than one hour. Leaving Glasgow, the traveller soon encounters some of the most iconic scenery in Scotland. The motorist will pass through Loch Lomond National Park catching views of Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro on mainland Britain. The train journey will open up vistas of the Firth of Clyde and the Argyll mountans.
Travelling by car
Heading west bound on the M8 follow signs for Greenock and Erskine Bridge. Continue over the Erskine Bridge and follow signs for Crianlarich A82. Follow signs for Garelochhead A814. Follow signs for Coulport. After Coulport continue along the peninsula with Loch Long on your right. Pass through the villages of Ardpeaton and Cove. On entering Kilcreggan pass the red tiled roof bus shelter, Villa Marina lies on the left.
Travelling by railway
From Glasgow Queen Street Station, take the Helensburgh train. From Helensburgh Station, take the Coulport bus which will drop you twenty yards from Villa Marina.
Travelling by aeroplane
From Airport take the airport bus to Glasgow City Centre. From Queen street station take the Helensburgh train. Thereafter, follow above directions.
Travelling by Ferry
Gourock train station houses the Kilcreggan Ferry terminal. From Glasgow Central Station take the Gourock train. Kilcreggan is a short ferry trip of ten minutes. The Kilcreggan Ferry is a pedestrian ferry only.
